《Preface Hall--- An Approach to Tianshui》

Tianshui, a city in Gansu province, is a famous historical and cultural city. It is awarded the "China Excellent Tourism City". With the history of about 8,000 years, Tianshui is believed to be a cradle of Chinese civilization. It is located in the northwest of China with the Yellow River and the Yangtze River running nearby. Its population is more than 3.8 million. It has been 2,700 years since the construction of the city covering an area of 14,300 square kilometers.

The exhibitions in Tianshui city museum are arranged on the theme of "Cultural Heritage in Tianshui", presenting chronologically Tianshui culture since eight thousand years ago. The hall you are visiting now is "An Approach to Tianshui". Here you will see the exhibitions of Fuxi culture, Dadiwan culture, the culture of the early Qin Dynasty, the representation of ancient battlefield of The Three Kingdoms and Buddhist grottoes by means of relief walls, sand tables, and multimedia. They are all parts of Chinese history. Walk through the hall and turn right into the corridor. On the left of the corridor are the pictures of the Guatai Mountain, Nan Zhaizi, Fuxi Temple, Yuquan Taoist Temple and LiGuang's Tomb. On the right are the pictures of Waterfall Cave, Immortal Cliff, Maiji Mountain,  Nanguo Temple and Elephant Mountain.
